- Changing the Game: Alysia is dedicated to producing more content made for women, by women. In addition to winning her second SAG award for her role as "Fig" on Orange is the New Black, Alysia has also produced and starred in the first ever female driven Wall Street film — EQUITY.
- Speaking up: Alysia is a Geena Davis Institute ambassador, where she works to engage, educate and influence the media and entertainment industry about the importance of eliminating unconscious bias, highlighting gender balance, challenging stereotypes, creating role models and scripting a wide variety of strong female characters
- Paying it Forward: Inspired by her role on OITNB, Alysia sits on the Advisory Board at Still She Rises — the first public defender in the country dedicated exclusively the representation of mothers in the criminal justice system.
- Making an impression: Alysia has been invited to the White House and the United Nations to speak about women and entrepreneurship. Alysia was also awarded the Sarah Powell Huntington Leadership Award by the Women's Prison Association, was recognized as an Intelligent Optimist in Ode Magazine, and profiled by New York Women in Film and Television as a "Women to Watch
